Aerial photographs of Los Angeles. 1923-1955.

The aerial photographs document the changes in the city of Los Angeles around the middle of the twentieth century. Five areas in mid-city Los Angeles are represented by views taken in 1935 and again in 1955. Additional views from circa 1955 show City Hall; the Los Angeles Times building; Wilshire Boulevard looking west from Grand; and the cloverleaf on the Hollywood Freeway. Also included are a 1923 aerial view of downtown looking towards the Hall of Records and another early view of downtown.
